Karen Dishong

Karen Dishong graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She received her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from The University of Findlay. Karen is currently a 6th grade Language Arts teacher at Van Buren Middle School. Previously, Karen taught 7th grade Language Arts at Van Buren Middle School and 6th grade Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies at Powell Elementary in North Baltimore, Ohio. Karen has served as a Power of the Pen and Quiz Bowl Coach, Middle School Building Leadership Team Member, Highly Qualified Student Data Evaluator, and participated on many school and community committees.  Educating middle school students has always been Karen's passion. Karen resides in McComb, Ohio, with her husband Chris. They have three children:  Sarah, Lauren, and Grant.
