Jen Page is a 2005 graduate of Wittenberg University, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in History and Secondary Social Studies Education. Following graduation she served as Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Queens University of Charlotte, where she earned her Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 2007. She is currently working on completing a Principal Licensure Program at Defiance College. During the first 14 years of her career, Jen taught middle school social studies and coached girls lacrosse in Mason City Schools. In 2021 she joined Buckeye Valley Local Schools as a Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment Specialist. In Buckeye Valley she supports 6-12 English Language Arts and Social Studies curriculum and is a building-based instructional coach at BVMS, where she works with teachers of all subjects in grades 6-8. In addition to joining OMLA, Jen is a member of the iCivics Educator Network, Ohio Council for the Social Studies, and an active collaborator in several social media PLN groups. She has participated in several National Endowment for the Humanities Landmarks of American History workshops, has presented at both local and state conferences, and is a past nominee for the Gilder Lehrman National History Teacher of the Year award. Jen is a passionate advocate for innovation and crafting playful learning experiences that challenge learners while keeping them engaged as active agents in the learning process. Most recently her work has focused on how technology and data can inform and guide new initiatives in education at the district level as well as support teachers and learners in the classroom. Jen resides in Lewis Center with her husband Rob and two sons: Brady and JJ.
